Low-Voltage Panel Accessories: Completing the Bill of Materials

Build a complete electrical panel RFQ with auxiliary contacts, releases, terminals, control devices and compatible accessories.

Small parts can determine whether a panel is complete

A main device reference rarely describes every accessory needed for a panel. Auxiliary contacts, alarm contacts, shunt and undervoltage releases, interlocks, terminals and operating mechanisms can have separate catalog numbers. A complete bill of materials avoids discovering missing items during assembly.

Check the host-device compatibility

Tie each accessory to its host product family, frame size and version. A similar appearance or matching brand is not sufficient evidence of fit. Include the required function and quantity per main device. A replacement accessory may have a different reference from the original assembly description.

Control and indication devices

For pushbuttons and pilot lights, specify the operator, contact blocks, illumination voltage, color and mounting dimensions. Identify whether the part number represents a complete unit or a component. Buying an operator head alone will not necessarily supply the contacts required by the circuit.

Organize a procurement-ready list

Use separate columns for manufacturer, complete SKU, description, quantity, host device and accepted alternatives. Keep control voltages visible. Group spares separately from installation quantities, and mark lines that require technical clarification rather than silently changing their description.

Request one coordinated quotation

Send the bill of materials with destination and required date. Ask for missing accessories and substitutions to be identified explicitly. AurFort can quote catalog references and review sourcing enquiries for unlisted parts; availability and dispatch timing are confirmed in the quotation.
